Question? What is the difference between Translation and Transcription?
Translation is where we work on an audio/visual file and simply translate what people are saying into another language, i.e. from Spanish to English. For an example of a completed translated file click here > Translation
Transcription is where we work on an audio/visual file and write down exactly what is said, and by whom, in that language. So if it is spoken in Italian, we have the linguist write down word for word what was said in Italian text. For an example of a transcribed file click here> Transcription
The two services can of course be combined into one. This means that the final document will show what was said in the language and in an adjoining column the translation. For an example of both a transcribed and translated file click here> Translation and Transcription
